Hi! My name is Sophronia Church. You can call me Sophie. Welcome to my blog about Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I have had CFS/ME for over 20 years. I live in the USA. I am writing this blog to clear up some common misconceptions about ME/CFS and to provide updates to family and friends regarding my condition. Have you read Kelvin Lord’s journal of his year on Ampligen in 2010? http://ampligen-treatment.blogspot.com
Might encourage you.

Yes, I have read it, thank you. Maybe I’ll read it again – I need all the encouragement I can get!

Hi Sophie,
I was reading some of your blog about how it is easy for you to get infections. I have had CFS since 1982. Last November I developed pneumonia and three courses of antibiotics later I’m still not over it.
Infections are a huge problem for me–they keep popping up all over my body. But the source is clear. I am wifi sensitive. Please get rid of any wireless sources you have such as cordless phones. Try not to use a cell phone and keep it turned off. Use a corded landline. Have your computer hardwired (i.e. hardware any routers, printers, and modems) and disable the wireless feature on all these things.
I haven’t figured out how the various frequencies affect me. But I do know that using my computer in wireless mode cases my face to have deep sores. The strong wireless from my neighbor is causing the pneumonia.
Wireless makes body tissues weak and vulnerable to infection.
Thank you for sharing your experiences with us!

Thank you Melissa! I will look into that. It has only been the past year that I have been ill and I’ve been wireless long before this time. However information is powerful and we should always examine different aspects of our lives in search of patterns that might lead us to better health. I am glad that you were able to determine the cause of your frequent infections. Hopefully this can lead you to some healthier days in the future! S.

Hi,
I wanted to recommend a very resourceful doctor who specializes in fibromyalgia and CFS–Jacob Teitelbaum, MD–and he knows these conditions as an insider. He contracted CFS while attending medical school and had to drop out for a year to recover. In the ensuing 30 years, he’s dedicated his career to finding effective treatment. He’s written several books on the topic, including his latest, “The Fatigue and Fibromyalgia Solution” (Avery Penguin, August 6). For more info, check out his website, http://www.vitality101.com and to preorder, http://www.vitality101.com/the-fibromyalgia-and-fatigue-solution.
Best,
Lauren
